Melbourne’s Albert Park is one of the most friendly and easy-to-access venues in Formula One.
The track offers some special challenges. Like Monaco, it’s made up of closed public roads, so no testing is possible on its dusty low grip surface. The short pit lane means its open season on a refuelling strategy for the teams and Turn One known, as the Jones Corner is one of the great overtaking opportunities for the brave!
After the race, there’s plenty more to do in Australia’s great sporting capital. Take in the Melbourne Cricket Ground (the famous MCG), also home to Australian Rules Football.
