Valencia Attractions

 

 

Plaza del Mercado

This is home to three buildings, the silk market, the baroque style Santos Juanes Church and the Central market.

 

La Cathedral

The Cathedral boasts three styles of architecture with Baroque, Gothic and Romanesque gates. Visitors can go up into the bell tower for fantastic views.

 

Museo Nacional

This 15th Century building is home to the Ceramics Museum. Renovated in 1740 in Rococo style, look for a 19th Century collection of tiles.

 

Iglesia de san Juan del Hospital

This is one of the oldest churches in Valencia. Inside you can visit the chapel of Santa Barbara and other chapels that contain painted murals from the gothic period.

 

Valencia Old Quarter

Stroll around the old quarter of Valencia and relax at one of the many bars and cafes. Taste the traditional dish of paella or sit back and take a ride on a horse and carriage.

 

Jardin Botanico

The Botanical Gardens were founded in 1567, originally for the study of medicinal plants. Restored in the year 2000 it is now an area that promotes culture and research.
